October 11th 2007.. B.J.LOCKLIN
Making an unscheduled appearance tonight, Brian, filling in for a sick colleague, gave us another lively, animated show which was thoroughly enjoyed by our members.
As before his programme included both old and new popular songs, together with a few written by himself.
Starting with Joe Diffie's, Third Rock From The Sun, he continued with Alan Jackson's, It's Alright To Be A Redneck, and Remember When. Going further back in time he delivered Dr Hook's, A Couple More Years, which was also a hit in 1979 for the regally named group, King Edward IV And The Knights, Hank Williams', Settin' The Woods On Fire, and Riders In The Sky, at various times a hit for Vaughn Monroe, Burl Ives, Roy Clark and Johnny Cash.
Returning to new country songs, B.J. proceded with numbers from Steve Earle, Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt and Confederate Railroad. Songs to sing along to featured the Bellamy Brothers, If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body, Roger Miller's, King Of The Road, and Johnny Cash's, Folsom Prison Blues, amongst many.
As usual B.J. catered for dancers and listeners alike with yet another great show.

November 23rd 2006 (4th Anniversary) B.J.LOCKLIN
It was a welcome return tonight for B.J. and his energetic stage show. He quickly developed a rapport with his audience immediatly after his first songs, a medley of Dwight Yokam's, I'll Be Gone and Merle Haggards, Truck Driving Man.
As before his concert was a mix of his own songs and lots of Country Standards, some aimed at dancers and others just to listen to and enjoy.
Partner dancers responded in force to Bob McDill's, Don't Close Your Eyes, John Denver's, Annies Song and Lefty Frizell's, I Never Go Around Mirrors.
Line dancers filled the floor for Willy and Waylon's, Good Hearted Woman, Mel McDaniell's, Louisiana Saturday Night, ( another by Bob McDill), The Tractor's, Baby Likes To Rock It, The Cherry Bombs, It's Hard To Kiss The Lips...etc. and The Maverick's, Dance The Night Away, amongst many.
Once again, he gave a super show, entertaining all factions of his audience.
March 2nd 2006 B.J.LOCKLIN

Though new to our club, tonight's artiste is no stranger to this area, having appeared on numerous occasions at nearby locations. We were not only pleased but fortunate to have him tonight as his hometown of Bangor , Gwynedd, was under several inches of snow.
Originally from West Kilbride , North Ayrshire, Brian mainly played gigs on the West Coast of Scotland as a singer / guitarist, either solo or in duo's playing a mix of Folk, Country and Pop, his first performance however, was in a charity event when only aged seven. He took Al Jolson off.
For the last ten years or so he has concentrated on Country Music.
Tonight's show was a splendid mix of new and old songs and several numbers B.J. had written. He quickly developed a warm relationship with his audience by leaving the stage whilst singing and mingling with both Listeners and dancers, at times actually joining in with those on the floor.
He has a strong voice and for up-tempo ballads becomes quite animated and lively. Several songs were new to us including Joe Diffie's If The Devil Danced In Empty Pockets Tracy Byrd's, Watermelon Crawl, and B.J's, Leave Me Alone, Dark Brown Eyes and Tight Blue Jeans, Hogtied, and Saturdays and Holidays!
All others were of popular Country variety, ancient and modern, beaty and melodic, each of which kept Listeners and Line or Partner dancers happy all evening.
Our members were very impressed with B.J's performance; so don't be surprised to see him here again.
