Middy and Steve Chase September 29th 2011

Making another of their frequent visits to our club, 'Best of Friends Duo, adopted a different format this evening, both  occupying the stage throughout their concert apart from the ten - minute spots at the end of acts one and two when each performed solo for three or four numbers.

As is there wont, they included lots of different songs but with the same variety of content, and delivered several sing-a-long sets, thus keeping dancers and listeners etc. More than happy.

Tonight we were treated to John Prine's, Speed Of The Sound of Loneliness, Merle Haggard's, Let's Chase Each Other Round The Room Tonight and If We're Not Back In Love By Monday, Alan Cameron's, A Single Red Rose, John Denver's, Some Days Are Diamonds,  Waylon's, What Bothers Me Most and Fathers and Sons, Tom T. Hall's, Ballad Of Forty Dollars and Picture Of Mother and The Ballamy Brothers', Let Your Love Flow  amongst many.

Two excellent sing-a-long medleys featured  a seven song country music of the sixties mix and a four song tribute to The Everly Brothers, who incidentally had seventeen entries in the American Country Music charts including Four number ones, Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie, All I Have to Dream and Bird Dog and were inducted into the Country and Western hall of Fame in 2001.

As expected Middy and Steve gave us another superb concert and remain one of the most popular Duos to entertain at the Northern Renegades C.M.C.
