December 4th 2003 Blue Orchid.

This evening we welcomed to our Club two lovely ladies, Liz Rae From Manchester, lead vocalist and Chrissie Byrne from Liverpool on guitar and vocals. Throughout the night they entertained in fine fashion, Liz with her powerful vocals and humorous anecdotes, Chrissie with her impeccable harmonies and guitar support. There repertoire of songs included hits from Jim Reeves, The Judds, Kathy Mattea and Trisha Yearwood among many others. Never shy at involving their audience they invited two singers from the auditorium to give a song each. Despite constant teasing from the ladies, Ivor James managed to sing 'Sea of Heartbreak' faultlessly. More seriously, Tony Martyn of Double Barrel sang Garth Brookes' The Dance' with perfect backing from Liz and Chrissie.

To bring a splendid show to a close Blue Orchid chose a song from their latest acclaimed c.d.'Slow down for a while', The single of which has been nominated for a UK Country Radio Award. The rapturous applause afforded this Duo, was thoroughly deserved.
